Student Science Showcase

This event has taken place. Explore the calendar for our next gathering.

Students at North Academy shared the process behind their work at our Student Science Showcase. Alongside models and displays, visitors saw planning sketches, results tables, and examples of designs that changed after testing. The event celebrated careful thinking as much as a finished product.

Evidence on display

Groups explained the question they investigated, how they tried to make their tests fair, and what they noticed. Families asked students to describe a surprising result or a change they would make with more time. Those conversations helped students practice using evidence and explaining technical ideas in everyday language.

Projects included structures made from limited materials and observations of everyday physical processes. Teachers supported students in choosing manageable questions and distinguishing what they observed from what they still needed to test.

Continuing the conversation

This listing is retained as a past event. Families who could not attend can ask the classroom teacher about the work shared by their child’s group. A useful question at home is, “What would you investigate next, and why?” No registration is required for this archived listing.
